Intro
Bookings for 3 & 4 year old children now being taken for September 2008.
Each area ensures correct staffing ratios are maintained at all times. We employ Qualified Nursery Nurses whom are assisted by Nursery Assistants (working towards a child care qualification). They are chosen with great care through interviews, police and OFSTED checks, references, and equally important on their personality and ability to ensure high standards of care are constantly maintained.
Learning
Children in our care are offered focused and non focused activities, which run throughout the whole nursery. We strive towards preparing children for their first years at school – following the birth - three matters framework and the early foundation stage profile.
Our aim is to learn through play!
We are registered for the Nursery Education Grant and as of April 2007 we are able to offer 3 & 4 year old children 15 hours per week free (term time only) of your choice, funded by the Government. In addition Rochdale is piloting a scheme to allow some 2 year olds free places also, up to 7 hours per week. Please see your Health Visitor for further details.
What else do we offer?
New for 2008, Refurbished outdoor play area.Light-sensory room, designed to stimulate and inspire all of the children under our care. We work closely with many outside agencies including Sure Start, therefore we are able to access many out reach workers such as Library Sessions, Dental bus workshop, Follow up work shops, Speech and language support, M6 Theatre company.
Staff are constantly updating their personal knowledge through various courses offered to them. This ensures all current legislations are being adhered to and enabling them to deliver the best possible care for your child.
- We offer an open door policy to all our parents this enables you to speak to staff and view your child’s records at any time.
- We hold regular parents social evenings to enable you to meet all the staff and parents.
- Extensive Individual Education Plans are in place for children with Educational Needs.
